Planetary Series VIII. My annual collection that I love creating. From the cut and polish of these cabochons, to the hand drawn planetary elements, and all the hand cut and formed sterling and copper pieces. Seven pieces in this series.

Hand formed, sawed, and soldered....

Materials:
Sterling Silver elements 
Stone, cabochon: Rhodochrosite 

Technique:
Pendant: I hand cut and polished this gorgeous Rhodochrosite cabochon. I hand cut the sterling silver settings. I added hand formed sterling wire, sterling hand cut discs, many tiny small torched sterling granules to the setting. I hand cut an abstract cosmic wave pattern to the back of the sterling setting. 
All connections are soldered for strength and longevity. 
Patina/oxidation has been added to the pendant.

Measurements:

Pendant: 1 5/8  inches in length from the bail to the end of the setting. 1 3/4 inches in diameter.

Sterling Chain: 1.85 mm double rope, 20 inches in length.
